Recipe Tips:

  • Use strong coffee for the best flavor: A bold coffee, like espresso or dark roast, will give your iced coffee a rich taste. If the coffee is too weak, the flavor will get lost when you add ice and cream.
  • Let the coffee cool completely before using: If you pour hot coffee over ice, it will melt too fast and water down your drink. Brew your coffee ahead of time and chill it in the fridge for the best results.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your taste: McDonald’s iced coffee is quite sweet, but you can add less simple syrup if you prefer a lighter taste. Start with 2 tablespoons and add more if needed.
  • Use fresh simple syrup for the best taste: Simple syrup lasts about 2 weeks in the fridge, but fresh syrup dissolves better and gives a smoother sweetness to your drink.
  • Stir well for a balanced flavor: Half and half and simple syrup can settle at the bottom if not mixed properly. Use a long spoon to stir everything well before drinking.

How To Store Leftovers?

Let the iced coffee cool to room temperature before storing. Pour it into a sealed container or jar and keep it in the fridge for up to 2 days. Stir well before serving.
