Recipe Tips:

  • Use the right tea bags: Green tea gives a light base, while hibiscus tea adds a fruity taste and color. Make sure to steep them for at least 5 minutes to bring out the full flavor.
  • Cool everything before mixing: Let the tea and simple syrup cool completely before mixing. If they are warm, they will melt the ice too fast and water down the drink.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your taste: Start with 2 tablespoons of simple syrup and add more if you like it sweeter. If you prefer a lighter taste, reduce the syrup or use a natural sweetener like honey.
  • Use frozen berries for better flavor: Frozen berries keep the drink cold and release their juices slowly, making the refresher taste even better. Blackberries work best, but you can mix in raspberries or blueberries too.
  • Shake or stir before serving: The ingredients can settle after sitting for a while. Before serving, stir the drink well or shake it in a closed bottle to blend the flavors evenly.

How To Store Leftovers?

Let the Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher cool to room temperature first. Then, pour it into a sealed container and store it in the fridge for up to 2 days. Shake or stir before serving to mix the flavors.
